Empowering Autistic Talent
The challenge

A new autism charity with the aim of transforming the lives of adults with an autism spectrum condition (ASC) needed an identity.
Providing grants for specialist mentoring for autistic adults to give them the support and advice they need to make the transition from education to work and find paid or voluntary employment.
The intended name Autism Employment Foundation was long and unmemorable, so I suggested a new name was required to help achieve better awareness and recognition.

The solution

The concept behind the identity is the use of a flexible arrow system that breaks through barriers.
The idea behind this helped inform the new name – Autism Forward. The autism spectrum is reflected through several colour gradients.
The arrows represent:
– moving into a career
– transforming yourself and going forward in life
– social inclusion
– positive connotations of ‘greater than’ >
